Currently our organization, NAI Electrical Contractors, is taking applications for an Accounting Associate to join our Ames team. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works in direct contact with multiple departments of the company including but not limited to:        
      • Accounts Receivable
      • Accounts Payable
      • Payroll
      • HR
      • Marketing subscriptions
      • Purchasing
  • Administrative duties
      • Answering phones
      • Greet visitors
      • Data entry
      • Processing mail including blueprint ordering
      • Basic office tasks

Necessary skills, knowledge and abilities

  • Self-starter and have the drive to learn new tasks
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Professional character
  • General math skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, good communication (verbal, written, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently and as a team


  • High diploma/GED and basic accounting and business experience of at least 2 years

    Associates degree in accounting or business with recent experience

  • Recent experience in Microsoft Office suite

Selected applicants will be joining our LeMars OR  Waterloo, IA locations.  Qualified applicants will have a recent construction, farming or other work experience involving the use of hand tools and/or classroom construction training.

We have offices throughout the state of Iowa, including Ames, Centerville, LeMars, Waterloo and Marshalltown, Iowa.
